  The hotel is quite nice, rooms were clean and large, service was good. Metro Line No.9 can directly bring go and back from downtown to the hotel. They have some economic room packages in summer! only use a little money, you can stay at the Five Star Hotel. You can take the free tickets of Moon Lack if you check in on Monday to Friday! Do you know the happy valley? everyone know that this is the biggest carnie of Shanghai! It will opening soon and very near by the hotel! I think this hotel is wonderful!~ I will recommend everyone!~

  I went to le Meridien during the 1st May holiday with some friends and our kids to enjoy a long week-end away from Shanghai and use their outdoor pool...first bad point...the pool was closed! How can you close a pool down for 'maintenance' on a long week-end when it's hot, and half of shanghai is coming down especially for the bloody pool!! Bad point. Very, very dissapointed kids...and no...the indoor pool does not make up for it as it is small and when the hotel is full...well you can just imagine what the pool is like. The service...horrible! The staff were very rude, understaffed or undertrained....i'm not sure but for a top hotel...it's a disgrace. Now the worst part...the food! Ok so we did not stay for the sunday brunch which is supposed to be good, but we tried both the buffet and a la carte and both were worse then terrible, almost inedible! We returned the next day to Shanghai just because we did not want to have to partake in another lunch there! On the plus side...the rooms are nice...i suppose that is something. However, we will never go back and will advise all our friends against it as well!
