This is a hip, futuristic lounge that mixes a young crowd with fantastic music. Just off Hengshan Lu, a favorite expat drinking district, it outshines all of the grotty talking-girl bars that surround it with a combination of very cheap drinks, a nice little garden and always-excellent electroclash, indie, punk and dance music.

Not Me reminds me of a dirty frathouse. The 80 RMB all-you-can-drink is, as some reviewer mentioned, exactly what you paid for. Getting a glass is sometimes frustrating unless you show up early. I had to throw a stink before I could get a clean glass. My first time here, I made the mistake showing up sober. At least the crowd is mostly young, and I've found a lot of people to be quite friendly.
this plce is a liitle bit like throwing a coin. sometimes can be very fun and other just bored. the staff is friendly though, may be a good place to start the late night, maybe not; just throw the coin.
I love this place because every time I have been there, the dance floor was empty and I could just do my thing. The bar area is usually crowded though but not anymore than any other spot with a cool drinking special.
I loved the 80 RMB Open Bar, but the drinks were exactly what you pay for. Definitely not the first choice of bar to arrive to sober. The wait to get the first drink was off-putting, but most the staff was friendly.
Very small for the number of people there. Very good music. Great value initially for 80 RMB open bar. But later on it was packed and with only two barmen I gave up waiting for my drink and went elsewhere to pay the crazy prices but be served quickly. The owner should forget about chatting with customers and work behind the bar!
Beware of the string of fake reviews below (all posted at the same time same day), this place is not as good as the hype. Was actually deserted when we showed up last week. Mural has a much more fun open bar on Friday nights.

All you can drink, good electronic dj, cool spherical booth. The lime slices they serve with tequila is occasionally on the small and thin side...but there's always enough salt. This is a place I've spent many many nights at with an ever-changing crowd of people.

This venue is good enough not to have to resort to posting fake reviews! Off-putting, to say the least. Why managers/staff do that kind of thing is perplexing.

Very nice small place and all the staffs are very friendly and helpfull, friendly and good atmosphere for us to meet peoples.
One of my favorite places in Shanghai. Perfect to catch cheap but good quality drinks after work or go to some of their weekend Events where DJs perform and play all sorts of Music (mostly electronic). The minimalistic and futuristic design is very different from other clubs and they indeed have very nice staff including their regulars. Go there and check it out!

Not Me has a fine balance between Bar and Club in a comfortable non pretentious environment, with well priced real drinks. This Wed I hear there is a night of New and alternative UK music... I am going to check out....
I found the design stodgy, "futuristic" in the sense of Q-Zar, the laser tag center. but the beats, crowd, and drink deals were happening, so still well worth the visit.

Not Me... God, I already spent so many nights there and never was disappointed. The staff is amazing, the drinks are excellent and for a reasonable price, and the bar is just the nicest one I have ever been to! This is THE bar to go to in the french concession. Come with your friends and you'll have the night of your life!
