Beijing’s first organic health foods store sells organic beancurd, bread, vegetables and fruits. The store also has an organic dry food section and a healthy lifestyle section.
Disappointing if you expect organic and natural everything, but they do have a few gems we love. Their selection of USDA organic Crystal Rain brand rice noodles (and other flavors: spinach-rice, purple sweet potato, corn &rice, millet noodles, and buckwheat noodles) are very helpful to gluten free diets. They have certified organic Pei Ya Mi (germ remaining, partially milled rice) and brown rice. I don't understand why, but their raw sugars are in a different spot than the other white and powdered sugars. Beware of their soaps selection. There is one brand which is safe. It has an Indian goddess type figure on it. Other than that, NONE are really safe as they contain chemicals and artificial parfums. I checked them all out. Better to find Organic Earth stores in town and stock up there (or visit their workshop, search it on Cityweekend). And the personal care products...just check Nature's Gate shampoos, hand soaps and dish soaps at Lohao are not top notch, either, but I guess they're slightly better than the stuff at Carrefour.
I really like this store. Great variety of organics. Just beware..not all of it is organic (some packaged goods). But if you ask the sales people, they are very happy to tell you if a product is organic or not.
I love this place. You can source most of your organic stuff from here. The shunyi place has more to offer than the luftansa and we do make a trip to shunyi on many a weekends to stock our favourites.

the only place in town to get organic honey & organic coffee. They have the best price on organic eggs (19 kwai, or so, for a dozen)
I found Lohao has a cleaner for fruit called Veggie Wash made in USA. I tried it and is very good. Now I feel safer to eat vegetables and fruits.
