This center provides support for individuals with special needs and learning difficulties through music therapy and learning support. It also offers a small daytime special education programme. Side by Side’s team members are qualified and experienced professionals who conduct services in English. Music therapy is also available in German.

  My experience with Side by Side has been really positive. It is a nice and small place, where children can experience a very friendly, comfortable atmosphere. As an addition to their professional service, the kids really love to play and learn with the cats. I would definitely recommend them. It is good to see music therapy in Beijing.

  Its fantastic that Side by Side is in operation in Beijing! What wonderful news for those families who have children with learning differences that dont allow them to flourish in mainstream schooling! Anita in particular is fantasic. Speaking from personal experience with my Selectively Mute Daughter who was privileged enough to get Anita to help her overcome her anxiety disorder by offering her a safe and comfortable environment, putting her at ease and boosting her self esteem. It is very difficult for families in a new or strange new environment to find help with the neccessary professional skills, so to be able to access a facility like Side by Side with people who care and whom you can trust is just wonderful!

  Anyone with a child who needs any kind of extra help should contact this centre! You will get good, reliable and professional advice. This is not a centre that will charge you for everything or every meeting, you will be charged fair rates for good services. The professionals who work in the centre are all qualified as well as experienced in their field. I would recommend strongly getting in touch and asking questions. You may not always get the answers you want to hear but the advice is good and you can trust it.
