17 Zhangwang Hutong, Jiu Gulou Dajie,Gulou,300m south to Gulouqiao
旧鼓楼大街张旺胡同17号,鼓楼,鼓楼桥南300米
This pioneering hutong bar carved out of an old siheyuan draws in a well-heeled clientele with its maze-like nest of open-plan rooms, kang-style bed seating and abundance of cozy rugs and pillows. Stretch out for some quiet conversation over a round of masterful mojitos paired with tapas, or shake your tailfeather in the intimate dance area.
I dont know why this place is popular. I found the heating not up to the mark to begin with. Mojito is nothing extraordinary, just the normal. There werent too many people around I wonder why. Its a so so place.
My favourite place to hang out and just chill!!!
This place is effortlessly original. The drinks are as good as anywhere for that price range and the service is always really friendly. I love hanging out there with a group of friends, just taking it easy.
"defin not the best mojito in beijing if you have been to some other cocktail bars in Beijing and ask a Mexican person." uh? Mojitos are Cuban... but we Mexicans can appreciate a good one as well hehe
The public ARE fooled by all the hype. Expensive drinks with so so quality. difficult to sit on their "beds", too hard to sleep on as well, stinks when everyone takes their shoes off. defin not the best mojito in beijing if you have been to some other cocktail bars in Beijing and ask a Mexican person.

Might be a good place for night drink but it is surely a BAD place for brunch !!! 88 yuans Malaysian brunch is not worth 15 yuans : it consists on some kind of Indian bread and rice, no drinks are included (note that even boiled water is charged ...) All you can eat ... Sure, but with bread and rice, you are quickly full ... Don't make the same mistake as me ! There are so many good brunches in BJ !!
very special, not esay to find it. the beds are not so confortable. drinks ok.
This place is up there with Q Bar for the best, chillest bars in the city. It feels very traditionally Chinese yet very contemporary at the same time, with comfortable raised beds to sit on and really nice decor. The service the last time we went was excellent and so was the music. It's so nice to find somewhere in Beijing where you can really relax and have a nice drink (like everyone else, I love the mojitos) and you don't have to shout to have a conversation. Also, Bed Bar is thankfully lacking the super sleazy feel that's so omnipresent in a majority of clubs and bars here.
The drinks take forever, way overpriced, pretty chill atmosphere, and the beds are not comfortable at all. EXTREMELY hard to find...took 3 taxi drivers to find the place. But an overall cool feeling, I would like to hit it up again on a weekend.
The tastiest Mojitos and a real chill atmosphere. A definite hidden gem. If Bed Bar were in NYC, it'd be on everyones hit list.
Bed Bar is great, I just wish that they had a kitchen on the premises (it takes waaay too long if you order any food from cafe sambal)
Unbeatable for a second or third date, when things are getting more comfortable. Skip the main room and go through to the back - the semi-private rooms are cozy, but avoid an aura of sleaziness with communicating windows. It's pretty cold in the winter, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. The mojito is the only way to go for drinks.
This place is best in warmer months, or if you sit near one of the heaters in the winter. However, it's one of those wonderful little places you go to when you are not in the mood to go to a bar or club with super loud music. The hookahs are an added bonus, though I wish they knew how to operate their hookahs a little better.
This place has a certain kind of charm only found in Beijing. Yes, it's dirty and the drinks are not the best. (Though, I agree the mojitos are quite good.) Perhaps it was an evening spent with friends on top of a bed, but my memories of this cozy bar are fond. I would go back and I would recommend it to my friends.
this is a sketchy, run-down version of the "bed" concept bars found in other metropolitan cities. The place is filthy and the sangria is horrible! There was little alcohol in it (and yes, I mean alcohol because it was missing the red wine that is supposed to be in it) and it was watered down with some type of juice and fruit cubes. On top of that, we paid 160 rmb for a pitch that was half full of ice...i will not ever consider going back.
Best mojito in Beijing. And being Cuban, believe me, I have high standards.
good!
Very chill place. Perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or a girl. Comfortable, simple design, decent snacks. I have to admit - the best Vodka Lime I've had in Beijing!By far!
This is a great place for a quiet(er) night out with friends. The white walls, gray kangs, subtle accents and light techno make a nice, unintrusive backdrop to any conversation. The decor is subtle and while few people really notice many of its details, like that it's actually designed in three sections: industrial, colonial and Chinese. The drinks are quite good, and most go in for the signature mojitos and non-overpriced beer. The food menu is short but delicious. Perfect non-greasy bar food.
**Chill atmosphere, great mojitos** For a quiet(er) night, this is the place to be. Converted hutong house with an idustrial feel and nice big kang beds to lounge the night away.
