  The third Marriott International signature Quan Spa in China and only the fifth in the world, Quan Spa, Beijing, is inspired by the concept of water as a source of life. Meaning “the source of pure water” in Chinese, Quan Spa features exclusive treatments and therapies designed to harness the natural healing powers of water to create harmony and balance between the body and the mind. Adjoining the JW Marriott Hotel, Beijing Health Club, the tranquil spa features ten unique treatment rooms including group, couples and individual treatment suites, a foot lounge, and a private wet room with Vichy Shower. Suites pay homage to the celebrated Changbai Mountain hot springs in China’s Jilin Province, adopting names such as “Wuyou”, the spring of joy; “Ghanlu”, the spring of sweetness; and “Riyue”, the sun and moon spring, amongst others. Ranging in size from 260 square feet (24 square meters) to 891 square feet (83 square meters), each suite is self-contained with changing facilities, a toilet, and spacious showers. Three suites also feature individual Hydrotherapy tubs. From the Wellness Reception to each of the individual suites, Quan Spa is designed to reflect the soothing properties of water with distinctive local flourishes creating a sense of place. Dramatic raindrop sculptures and abstract modern paintings resembling the ocean adorn the walls; magical chandeliers float to the ceiling in a spiral of bubbles; iridescent azure curtains shimmer like rain in the night; and water feature walls create a tranquil soundtrack to relax and unwind to. Quan’s extensive spa menu includes a wide range of specialist massage, facial, water, nail and body therapies. Developed by a team of spa experts in collaboration with traditional Chinese therapists, treatments are inspired by local healing and wellness rituals, combined with modern spa techniques for a complete sensory journey. Signature treatments include the Marine Detox – a relaxing bath using marine salts, algae and essential oils to eliminate toxins and improve vitality. The Ocean Rainshower Body Treatment invigorates with an aromatic body scrub applied under the soothing water jets of a Vichy Shower, ideally complimented by one of Quan’s sensual body wraps, combining essentials oils and marine mud for a wealth of benefits. Facial treatments are also designed to hydrate: the Deep Hydration Ocean Facial incorporating a delicious marine mask to nourish and moisturize. For pure indulgence, Quan offers three luxurious Spa Rituals: Relax, Renew and Revitalize. Lasting a minimum of three hours, each ritual presents a total escape from the world, fusing treatments designed to simultaneously cleanse, detoxify and promote a sense of calm. Quan Spa is also the first of its kind to offer slimming programs in Beijing, with the LPG Lipo 6 used to provide endermologie treatments for the body and face. Quan’s heavenly spa products include a premium skin care range from Thalgo, as well as signature Quan massage oil blends and amenities in two unique formulas used to arouse different emotions throughout the day. A similarly seductive range of signature teas is blended to enhance the restorative and relaxing properties of those signature massage oil blends. Quan Spa is complimented by a Spa Boutique selling spa products and merchandise from the Quan and Thalgo range so that guests can enjoy the Quan Spa experience in the privacy of their homes or while traveling. Quan Spa guests are invited to utilise the Health Club facilities on a complimentary basis one hour before and after spa treatments.
