I've only been here once with a friendand I was not very impressed. We went to the Winterless branch near Da Wang Lu station. We had a traditional Chinese-style body massage and the masseuses were OK but not great. It seemed like they weren't very thoroughly trained and the experience was not that soothing. For this price range, Tai Dian (sp?) is far, far superior.

Thanks nefertiri - will definitely give it a try!

I would recommend Kocoon. It's less crowded, so more relaxing. The quality of the service, the staff's attitude are flawless. I don't know how you can relax with a crowd of customers and staff... I like homely atmospheres better. http://www.cityweekend.com.cn/beijing/listings/health-and-beauty/massage_bath/has/kocoon/

OT's still my fav place for foot massages. Just remember the "Code No." of the staff if you like his/ her service. HOWEVER, the quality of beauticians are inconsistent. 1st visit there was fabulous, 2nd and 3rd visit onwards in both Dawanglu and Ritan was really dissapointing (and yes, I forgot the "No" of the 1st beautician). For RMB 460 /90 minutes facial/ back massage, I really do expect basic cleansing, extraction and a squeaky clean face with happy pores... not some half hearted back rub and remnants of masks all over my face! Anyone out there with a good beautician recommendation????

Followed the Editor's advice and paid a visit. It really is as good as advertised. Good food, warm atmosphere, and first rated foot massage. Surprisingly, despite the economic crisis, the place is still packed on the weekend of my visit! Will come back for sure.

Never going back to this place again. I also used to love it but I agree the service and general attitude to customers is just plain crap these days! They are rude to you on many levels which in the end stresses you way more than their massages relax you. Don't go there and tell everyone you know the same.

Never going back to this place again... used to love it... but the service and general attitude to customers have continued to deterioate over the years. Have had membership card for may years... it was slightly cracked and was told by the cashier that i couldn't possibly use it... i either had to get the 3k or 5k membership or pay 200 for a replacement card. I refused all and then was charged 200 for a foot massage which is clearly stated as 168 in the menu... however, i was informed because i am not using my discount card, i was being charged the full price... where does it say that???? The manager's attitude was non-plussed and dismissive at best... basically, it was tough... we have lots more other customers... So, try another one that's NOT taipan!
