I wouldn't come here without an appointment. I went today as a walk-in, and they said someone could see me in 15 minutes. So I sat there and waited 30 minutes, at which point they told me it would be about 15-20 minutes more, and THEN they tried to make ME feel bad because the girl was meant to go home an hour before. They should have just told me that there was no one available, and I would have made an appointment for another day. Instead they wasted my time and then tried to make me feel guilty like I was inconveniencing their staff, when no one ever told me the girl was meant to leave previously. Really annoying, and I'm not planning to come back.

Went to Erics once, got a meh meh haircut for 200 rmb +. It didnt look absolutely horrible (although it was no where near "good"), but for that price I expect more than just meeeeh semi-bad hair. Could just as well have gone to a chinese hair salong and paid 20 rmb for the same result. The cheaper stylists are NOT worth the money. I have however heard good things from a friend about their senior stylists so was thinking of trying one of them and fork out some more money this time. But trying to find my way on Erics website in order to check prices and stylists is a mission. They have sacrificed usefulness for fanciness. I cannot find the prices of their stylists and haircuts anywhere on their website (?!?!?!?). Really really idiotic website, and it puts me off even before getting there.

as a curly-headed (and long-haired) western male, i just may be the toughest case any chinese salon could encounter. here, the stylist not only sculpted my hair as i wanted, she made it look better than expected. for those expats who think their chinese is passable, try saying "blend," "layer," "graduation" or any other hair lingo. then realize how valuable eric's imported hong kong master stylist and her magnificent english are. i must mention, lastly, that the glasses of water they offer are spherical.

Great Salon. So close to home !!! But even when it was not close to home I would come every month. I just would fly from Mongolia to have a good haircut. And I did it for two years... And before that I flew in from Shanghai as well before Eric's established salon there. We used to come as a group with other women living in Shanghai, and would spend the day being pampered. Keep up the good work, even though you spoil us...

I've been here twice now, and they've royally messed up my hair twice. Each time the guy who cut my hair never asked me how long I wanted my hair cut, HOW I wanted my hair cut, he just did it as he wanted. Last night was the last straw because I SPECIFICALLY said I wanted to keep the length and just add a few layers. He just said "Ok I know" and sat me down for a cut. The next thing I know he's cutting my hair SUPER short (I've already got short hair to begin with!) and I exclaimed that I TOLD him to keep my length. What kind of stylist doesn't even check how long someone wants their hair cut? Every other salon I've been to double checks length! Not to mention, it's not even the haircut I wanted!!!!!!! For the price they charge I should be getting service. If I wanted this kind of service I might as well go on the side of the road to someone who doesn't understand English and pay 20 kuai. Then at least the complete butchering of my hair would be warranted.
