This group hosts a range of events aimed at helping Beijing newbies through the transition to life in the capital. Monthly meetings cover a range of topics from how to open a bank account to signing up for health care, to finding an ayi. INN also hosts coffee hours at the Bookworm in Sanlitun and O'Brien's in Shunyi.

Though I've been in Beijing for 8 months, I finally decided to stop by for a meeting a couple months ago. I've been to two now. Both were worthwhile. A guest speaker spoke about the different excursions that can be taken in Beijing. Another showed us how to make dumplings. Every month's meeting seems to have informative speakers to enhance your Beijing-knowledge and expat get-aroundness.

INN 2007 Charity Pot of Gold! Thank you to the Beijing foreign community! Because of your generosity and the fine efforts of the INN volunteer luncheon committee, six local charities will benefit. AS&P has just opened a new school for disadvantaged youth and now they can furnish it! MSCHope has more funds to add to the building budget for their hospital for orphans and poor children in need of medical help. Bethel has just changed locations and can now purchase much needed equipment. Huiling will also purchase new learning materials for their center. UNICEF will provide another group of underprivileged children with a clean drinking water opportunity. And Magic Hospital will bring smiles and laughter to many more hospitalized children!

**Wondering... :)** OK, I just added this link about the INN to my blog, with some people in BEIJING who might check it out... The blog is at west4east.spaces.live.com, we'll see if it works... Cheers, Abel K. Miami, FL, USA
